What is the eruption style of Crater Lake?

Crater Lake has had no explosions in 200 years.  However, before Crater Lake was created, the volcano it is located on, Mount Mazama, had many explosions. Mount Mazama is a continental volcano. Continental volcanoes have very explosive eruptions. Although they have explosive eruptions, their eruptions are infrequent. Their lava is mostly andestitic or rhyolitic. These volcanoes, including Mount Mazama, have very high gas contents and their magma/lava has a higher viscosity and a lower temperature. Crater Lake's eruptions have, for the most part, followed this pattern. Most of Crater Lake's eruptions have been explosive and have had a lava dome extrusion.
